Energy Profiling

Understanding your energy usage is the first step to making good decisions about future energy initiatives. Often the energy data available is not granular enough to fully understand what is going on. Eninserv can assess the available data and where necessary install logging equipment configured to gather the appropriate data at the appropriate sample rate. We are experts in reading the data, using our vast experience to identify the nuggets that can be the key to a successful energy project.

We often have clients who question their electricity costs. There is often a question on whether their meter is reading correctly or not. Electricity meters are typically very reliable, however we have found cases where the meter was faulty and have resulted in refunds in the 10’s of thousands of Euros to our clients. Whatever the cause of the higher energy costs, we can advise on how and when you are using energy and where you may be able to optimise consumption.

Power Quality Assessments

Beyond electrical profiling, Eninserv is experienced and equipped to conduct power quality assessments for our clients’ needs. Modern electrical/electronic equipment can generate harmonics or “noise”, on the electrical supply both inside and outside your building. When your process is experiencing faults and quality issues, this can sometimes be the result of poor power quality. We understand the science behind the noise and provide guidance on how to “clean” your electrical supply. 

Power factor is also an issue with some electrical consumers. When this happens you may be penalised for bad power factor and the electricity you are paying for, may be more than the work rate it is doing.

Electrical Upgrades

Eninserv Limited understands the electrical network in Ireland, better than most. Our experiences dealing with the Electrical System Operator for new connections and upgrades contributes to a smooth experience where our clients achieve the desired connection, while the system operator has confidence that we know what we are doing. Once we determine the business needs, we can conduct a preliminary assessment which identifies options to access the connection required. While the System Operator ultimately determines the availability and method of connection, our experience knowledge ensures the best chance of a successful application.
